José Luis Peixoto

José Luis Peixoto, born in 1974, is one of Portugal’s most acclaimed contemporary writers. His vast work in fiction, non-fiction, poetry and children’s literature has received several portuguese and internationa awards, such as the José Saramago Literary Award, Libro d’ Europa, Cálamo Otra Mirada and Oceanos Literature Award, and was shortlisted for the IMPAC Dublin Literary Award and the Femina Prize. His books are translated in more than 30 languages.
