Marius Ivaškevičius (Lithuania)

Expulsion

Marius Ivaškevičius reads from Expulsion – a novel about the lives of Lithuanian emigrants in London. Caught between hope and alienation, departure and disillusionment, the author tells the story of people who leave their homeland to begin a new life elsewhere – only to find themselves in a state of permanent in-betweenness. Based on numerous interviews and his own experiences, Ivaškevičius weaves real destinies into a literary narrative.
