Pamela Biermann

Born in 1963, Pamela Biermann is the daughter of a dancer and an opera singer, which provided her with an artistic upbringing from an early age. As a singer, she made her public debut in 2012 at the Berliner Ensemble. Following her concert with her husband, Wolf Biermann, she went on to perform numerous concerts across various cities in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. Together, they released two albums: Ach, die erste Liebe in 2013, and …paar eckige Runden drehn! in 2016 with the free jazz ensemble Zentralquartett. She also contributed to Ermutigung, released by Clouds Hill in 2024. Pamela Biermann studied history and works as an editor, co-author, painter, literary and concert agent, and manager. She has been involved in numerous book publications, events, albums, and films. Additionally, she is the founder and director of the Wolf Biermann Archives. As a founding member of Schotstek, a scholarship program for students with a migration background, she advocates for equal opportunities in Hamburg. In 2017, Pamela and Wolf Biermann, along with the Neue ZentralQuartett, launched a tour aimed at encouraging high voter participation and strengthening democracy.
