Kai Pfeiffer

Kai Pfeiffer, born 1975 in Berlin, Germany, where he resides and studied at Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weissensee. Comics and installation artist, working between abstraction, fiction, and documentation. Some notable publications: „Opérations Esthétiques“ (Le Dernier Cri, Marseille 2000), „Radioactive forever“ (Japanese version, in: „No Nukes“, ed. Ryuichi Sakamoto, Shogakukan Square, Tokyo 2012), „Plus si entente“, (with Dominique Goblet, Frémok & Actes sud, Brussels & Arles 2014),„Glücklich wie Blei im Getreide“ (with Clemens Setz, Suhrkamp, Berlin 2015), „Gerne würdest Du allen so viel sagen – unterbrochene Gespräche des 20. Jahrhunderts“ (co-editor, avant-verlag, Berlin 2023), „Le Jardin des Candidats“ (with Dominique Goblet, Frémok, Brussels 2024). Participant and curator of numerous exhibitions in Germany and abroad (Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, Kunsthaus Dortmund, Nabokov Museum, Cartoonmuseum Basel, Fumetto, Arts Factory …). Editor for the long form comics of Ulli Lust and her co-director for the documentary film „Urwald“ (arte, 2019). Artist duo with Dominique Goblet since 2011. He currently teaches Storytelling at Hochschule Hannover and is a member of the editorial committee for Belgian publishing house Frémok.
