Suji Kwock Kim

Suji Kwock Kim is a Korean American poet and playwright. She studied at Yale University, the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, Seoul National University and Yonsei University, where she was a Fulbright Scholar, and at Stanford University as a Wallace Stegner Fellow. Her poetry explores family memory, war, the division of Korea, migration and identity. Her debut collection, Notes from the Divided Country, received the Walt Whitman Award, the Addison Metcalf Award, the Bay Area Book Reviewers Award and The Nation/Discovery Award, and was a finalist for the Griffin International Poetry Prize. Her writing has been translated into numerous languages and performed internationally.
