Lyuba Yakimchuk

Lyuba Yakimchuk was born in the Luhansk region and lives in Kyiv. She is the author of the poetry collections Like Fashion, Apricots of Donbas, and The Making of Tenderness, as well as a screenwriter and playwright. Her work has been translated into nearly thirty languages and presented internationally. She took part in a performance by John Legend during the Grammy Awards, and the French audiobook edition of Apricots of Donbas was narrated by Catherine Deneuve. The Ukrainian magazine NV included Yakimchuk among the 100 most influential cultural figures in Ukraine.
