
Julia Cimafiejeva
Julia Cimafiejeva, born in 1982 in Spjaryschscha, is a Belarusian poet and translator. She studied English and completed a Master’s degree in Literary Studies. In her latest book, Krovazvarot she combines poetic and documentary forms, as well as personal memory and history. Since 2014, she has published six collections of poetry and has emerged as one of the defining voices of her generation. In 2020, for political reasons, she left Belarus together with her husband, the writer Alhierd Bacharevič, and lived in exile in several European cities. They have been living in Berlin since 2025.
